Today musicians are using social media to connect with fans, share their musical contents, brand themselves, build anticipation, and generate revenue in new and unique ways. — There is need for a connection that empowers both (artists and Fans) to give each other what they are looking for.
Artists should be reaching their new fans online through social channels.
About 70% of the Cameroonian population access Facebook, Twitter, Instagram, Pinterest and other features everyday therefore it is very common for everyone to have a smartphone.
We decided to look at the top most popular urban musicians in Cameroon that are followed on Social Media.
We considered three main social media platforms for this purpose – Facebook, Instagram and Twitter. We then summed up the followers on the three platforms to come up with the list.
So here are the top Cameroonian musicians as at April 2018.
Note that we did a survey and question 20 people to list us their favorite artist in Cameroon before compiling this list. And we focused mostly on New School Urban artists in Cameroon ( No Petit Payee etc).
1) CHARLOTTE DIPANDA
Coming in first place is the acoustic Afropop singer.
She has a total of 1,104,735 fans

Queen of Bikutsi Lady Ponce is second on our list with a total of 428,334 fans

Surprisingly the 25 year old celebrity who is well know for his stunning outfits comes 3rd on our list with over 417,852 fans
